James now weighs 24 lbs. He is a mover. He likes to run around squealing all day long.
His only word until today has been Dada. Today he has finally said Mama and something really close to baby.
James is not one for words obviously, but he is an observer, and knows what is going on and how things work.
He is a total boy. He loves tools, trucks, cars, and tractors.
James loves his Daddy. He can hear when Jess wakes up and says Daddy until he gets down the stairs.
He is a mama's boy though. The child doesn't like to be seperated. Nursery hasn't worked out for us yet. There has only been one time in three months that he has actually lasted longer then 20 minutes. He does the broken heart cry, and then scream that you can hear across the church.
James loves Kaylee. He follows her everywhere. He even sits on the stairs with her when she is in time out. If she is crying he tries to give her loves. He is a very sensitive child. He is full of loves and kisses.
Although he doesn't use words, he communicates with sounds and finger pointing. We have worked with him on some sign language. He gets frustrated sometimes, but overall he is a very happy little boy.
James and Kaylee are opposites in so many ways. He has added a whole new dimension to our family. For the next few weeks we are the even team. Kaylee understands there is going to be a new baby. James has no idea. He loves baby dolls. He holds them, loves them, and tucks them in bed. I am really hoping that this will continue when we add a real baby to our family. I hope that he will adapt okay. The way I look at it is, I have two hands. Kaylee doesn't like to be held except when she is sick. James loves to be held. So there will still be an arm for James and the new baby, and hopefully we can all adjust rather smoothly. And luckily we have family that will be here to help us with the transition too.
We love our kids and wouldn't trade them for anything. They have wonderful spirits and personalities. It will be fun to see what another new little spirit will add to our family.
